"Cheeks the Hamster" is the 6th episode of Season 5 of the PBS Kids show Wild Kratts. It is the 122nd episode of the series overall. It premiered on April 23, 2018.
Synopsis[]
When the Wild Kratts lose several Micro XT power chips in Germany, they decide to follow hamsters to see if the rodents find any of the chips.
Plot[]
The show opens with the Kratt brothers in a suburban neighborhood in North America as they discuss the origin of how hamsters became domesticated pets. Then, they wonder what it would be like to have the Creature Powers of wild hamsters and the show transitions into the cartoon segment.
The Tortuga is flying over Germany and inside, Aviva Corcovado is showing Chris Kratt is a key component of the Creature Power Suits: Micro XT power processing chips. Without them, the CPS would be virtually useless. They need to be handled with care because one, they're made of a very rare element called Beryllium 25; and two, they're irreplaceable. The reason Aviva is taking the chips out now is so that she can clean and calibrate them. She leaves Chris in charge of watching the chips while she grabs the necessary tools.
Meanwhile, Martin Kratt is bored and wants something to do.
