"Kickin' It with the Roos" is the 19th episode of the first season of Wild Kratts, originally airing on PBS Kids on April 21, 2011. The episode was written by Eva Almos and directed by Chris Kratt.
In this episode, a kangaroo joey takes the keys of the Createrra VX, the Kratt brothers' off-road vehicle. The Kratt brothers jump into the life of a kangaroo in order to take the keys back from it.
The episode begins with a live action segment, which shows the Kratt brothers comparing their jump distances with an adult red kangaroo. Afterwards, they ask their "What if?" question and "transform into their animated selves".
The Kratt brothers drive the Createrra VX to a red kangaroo troop in the Australian Outback. After Chris measures the jump distance of an adult male, Martin names one of the kangaroo joeys Hopster. Hopster then tries punching Martin for kickboxing practice. Later, after witnessing a boxing match between two adult red kangaroo males, Martin jingles the Createrra's keys to get Hopster to come over to him. Out of surprise, Hopster takes the keys. The Kratt brothers try to catch up with him, but Hopster is just too fast. Hopster then hides in his mom's pouch, who disappears in a mob of female kangaroos. Later, the head of the kangaroo mob, the "Roo Boss", challenges Chris to a kickboxing match. Martin continues searching for Hopster, while Chris tries dodging the kicks of the Roo Boss. Martin finally finds Hopster and takes the keys, but the Roo Boss kicks Chris, who bumps into Martin, who loses the keys to Hopster. To help the Kratt brothers retrieve the keys, Aviva begins making Kangaroo Power Discs, which Jimmy teleports to them. Martin activates his Suit after Hopster jumps on him a few times. Chris activates his Suit by letting the Roo Boss kick him. Martin continues his search for Hopster by checking and digging into female kangaroos' pouches, while Chris fights the Roo Boss, which Chris loses because he was distracted. Then a wedge-tailed eagle hooks Martin. After telling a joke, the eagle releases Martin. Chris adds a pouch to his Suit, and Martin falls in the pouch. Just then, Hopster hops by them. They think they had him, when the Roo Boss stomps his foot. A dingo chases the entire mob to a water hole. The Roo Boss jumps into the water hole, and the Kratt brothers watch as he tries drowning the dingo. The dingo eventually gives up and flees. However, the Kratt brothers lose Hopster and the rest of the mob, and completely lose hope in retrieving the Createrra's keys, when they hear Hopster honking the Createrra's horn. Hopster leaves the keys on the door lock, and after hopping away, the Kratt brothers deactivate their Suits. But while Martin chats with Chris on his performance in fighting the Roo Boss, the Createrra slides off a nearby incline. Aviva, Koki and Jimmy have malicious joy about Chris and Martin.
The show transitions into the ending live action segment, which shows the Kratt brothers explaining how kangaroos fight each other, the defenses they use, and the rituals they perform. Afterwards, the Kratt brothers conclude the episode by saying "Keep on creature adventuring; we'll see you on the creature trail!"
