Spot Swat is a male cheetah cub who first appeared in the Season 1 episode "Mimic". He lives on the African Savannah with his mother, Blur, who he is the son of. He was given his name because he swatted at Martin's spots during his first activation of Cheetah Power.
Background[]
Following the events of "Cheetah Racer", Blur had a cub that Martin would eventually name Spot Swat in his debut episode, "Mimic". In that episode, Donita Donata captured Blur to use as a scarf for her new line of African-themed winter clothes. After deciding that she didn't like the way Blur looked on Dabio's shoulders, she decides to take her cub instead and turn him into a hat. She takes a honey badger instead after mistaking it for Spot Swat, only to find out after the badger starts destroying her car. The Kratt brothers rescue Blur and reunite her with Spot Swat, and they are seen sitting on top of a termite mound at the end of the episode.
In "A Creature Christmas", Spot Swat gets taken by Gourmand, along with Thornsley, Hipster, Nubs, Maze, Slurpy, Chris and Martin, as a part of the villains' plan to set up a shopping mall at Varmitech Village, with the baby animals being used as Christmas decorations. The animals get rescued by the Wild Kratts team, and they celebrate Christmas in the Tortuga HQ together before being returned back to their homes.
In "Cheetah Adopted", the Kratt brothers find that Spot Swat has been somehow adopted by a family of Warthogs. While looking for his mom, they get spotted by a lion who then chases them until they fall into a chasm. In the ravine, they find that Blur has fallen in as well, and Martin uses Aardvark Power, thanks to Slurpy and his mom, to dig their way back to the surface.
Physical Appearance[]
Spot Swat is a young cheetah with yellow, black, and white fur. The black and white pattern is to make him look like a honey badger while hiding in the grass to avoid being attacked by predators, since most animals know not to mess with them. He is covered with several black spots. The distinctive black markings around his yellow eyes make it easier for him to see across the savannah, as they absorb the glare of the sun.
