"Temple of Tigers" is the 2nd episode of Season 5 of the PBS Kids show Wild Kratts. It is the 118th episode of the series overall. It premiered on July 27, 2017.

Synopsis[]

After Aviva successfully sneaks up on and surprises the creature adventuring Kratt brothers, they worry that they've somehow lost their signature 'creature sense'. So Chris and Martin go off to India, in search of the stealthiest, most powerful wildcat in the world - the tiger - on a quest to prove to themselves that they're still in tune with the creature world. Meanwhile, Donita and Dabio also set out to find tigers and use their stripes for her new fashion line.

Plot[]

Chris, Martin, and Koki are walking through the temperate forest of North America while the brothers discuss that the key to being a great creature adventurer is to be completely in tune with nature. The brothers call this awareness of nature their "creature sense". But then, Aviva sneaks up from behind and makes the bros jump. She just wants to show them a raccoon that they completely overlooked. Chris is worried that he and his brother are losing their creature sense. And then to add insult to injury, Donita Donata and Dabio surprise them, making them jump once again. The fashion designer then encourages them not to let a bad day cramp their style while casually calling them "tigers". She and her henchman trail off afterwards that she can continue to "relax in luxury". Martin and Chris discuss what to do about their dwindling creature sense and decide it's in desperate need of exercise. They soon come to the conclusion that tigers have the best creature sense of all animals and decide go to India to find a Bengal tiger on their own, before the tiger finds them. The moment the bros split, Donita and Dabio emerge from the bushes who have tricked them into getting interested in tigers so that they can follow them to India and catch Bengal tigers. This is just another reason why the Kratt brothers need to exercise their creature sense.

Martin and Chris takes their Space Pod to India ready to find a tiger without their Creature Power Suits or any other technology. They are heavily relying on their creature sense to do this. As they trek through the Indian jungle, Martin points out that wouldn't be too hard for a tiger to catch them off guard because tigers like to pounce from behind. That's why Chris is wearing a mask on the back of his head, to make the tiger think that there are two faces aware of its presence. The older brother says that this is about finding a tiger, not keeping the tigers from finding them. Then again, it's better to be safe than sorry so Martin puts on a mask of his own. All the while, a Bengal tiger is hiding in the underbrush and is very much aware of the brothers' presence.

Back in North America, the team becomes aware of the brothers whereabouts after finding some web content on Bengal tigers and a map of India. They soon take off to pursue them.

Meanwhile, the Kratt brothers' search for a tiger takes them across the river via inflatable dingy. Along the way, Chris suggests that someone should sit in the back because tigers can and will hunt prey in the water. So Martin puts their handy-dandy crash dummy Brad in the back of the dingy as the bros continue down the river. Just then, a tiger snatches Brad while the brothers aren't looking. Afterwards, the same tiger punctures the dingy with her claws and sends them flying. As they as regain their footing, a boy tiger cub pounces on Martin, surprising him and Chris. The older Kratt brother then names the little guy Camo because he definitely used his striped camouflage well to sneak up on the bros. But the other reason Camo successfully caught them off guard is because they weren't aware of his presence. Which means that the Kratt bros' creature sense is truly gone. But then, Camo leads the gloomy brothers to a ruined temple that has stood for thousands of years. Chris and Martin are quickly amazed to come face-to-face with the matriarch of the temple: a beautiful and mighty tigress.

As the Wild Kratts team arrives in India, Aviva spots Donita and Dabio on the fashion designer's scooter. Maybe they know where Martin and Chris could be. Aviva asks if they've seen the Kratt brothers and Donita, who doesn't want her evil plan to be exposed points the inventor in the opposite direction. Aviva complies and the evil duo continue to pursue the brothers without drawing suspicion from our heroes. Seems that Donita is on a roll with deceiving the Wild Kratts today.

As the brothers continue to marvel the tigress before them, Martin names her Queen Stealth, appropriate since she is the ruler of her domain. And then, the bros are introduced to Camo's sister and brother. Martin names the little girl Baby Blue for her sapphire blue eyes and the other boy cub Tackle for his playful pouncing. Chris is impressed by how Queen Stealth has successfully raised three healthy tiger cubs and then comes to an epiphany. The only way the bros can get their creature sense back is by following the queen of nature herself and tapping into the tiger's inner power of natural awareness. Chris then calls Aviva and Koki to help with the brothers' adventuring slump. They need Tiger Power of they're going to regain their creature sense. The girls agree on the matter for two reasons: one, the future of new creature inspired inventions depends on the bros being in tune with nature; and two, both girls are avid tiger lovers. Using the sample of tiger fur that the guys sent, the Wild Kratts begin programming Tiger Power, making sure that everything from the striped camo to the stealthy paws and retractable claws are up to point.

Back at the temple, Donita and Dabio have captured Queen Stealth's cubs, except for Camo who is taking a nap.
